Caring To Succeed

How can we help?

At Warwickshire Young Carers Project we were successful in applying to the Big Lottery for three year funding which means we can now work with Young Adult Carers up to the age of 25.

The Project, called ‘Caring to Succeed’ is about giving you the same life changes as your peers, who don’t have to juggle their caring responsibilities with other aspects of their life such as going to school, college, work or further training.

We can offer you a range of support including:

  • Someone to talk to
  • Help to get in touch with other services that may help you and your family
  • Drop-in’s at local Colleges and Universities for 16+’s
  • Peer Mentoring (leading to a level 1 NOCN qualification)
  • Personal development activities such as driving, arts, music etc.
  • Training with Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service (13 -17)
  • Residentials (fun trips away)
  • Access to other training opportunities

The Project is funded by the National Lottery

Our partners as part of the project are:

Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs

Warwickshire Clubs for Young People

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service and
Kingsbury Water Park Outdoor Education Centre

Perhaps you help by cooking and shopping...
You might help with personal care such as bathing or toileting...

It might be up to you to make sure tablets are taken...

Maybe you look after brothers and sisters or it could be that you keep someone company and make sure that they are okay...
