37 hours per week to include evening and occasional weekends
Fixed term: Three Year Contract
Salary NJC Scale Point 19 - £24,799 Plus 6% pension supplement

Warwickshire Young Carers is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity working with over 2000 Young Carers between the ages of 6 -25, helping to improve their lives by offering free and confidential support. We strive to raise awareness and encourage wider recognition of their contribution to society. At the same time, we provide young carers with a range of services, support and information to assist them in their caring roles and enable them to fulfil their own needs as individuals.

We are looking for a Project Worker for the Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working with young people to develop and improve the support available to young carers living in Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough.

We are looking for a dynamic and committed worker; ideally the candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Understanding of, and sensitive approach towards the situation, needs and difficulties faced by young carers
  • Experience of working with children and young people aged up to 25
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with children and young people, in groups and one to one situations
  • Knowledge of safeguarding best practice
  • Experience of organising events, activities and regular groups for young people
