Young Carers Take the Lead on Our 2026 AGM

A group of Young Carers met for their first AGM planning meeting today, and the ideas were already flowing!

Together, they began thinking about how they would present our achievements from the past year, what we have learned and what they would like to see from Warwickshire Young Carers in the future.

Our AGM is presented by Young Carers every year. The service is for them and led by them, so who better to look back at how we have supported them, share their honest views and tell our funders, donors and wider community about the difference our work has made?

Of course, we rarely hold a meeting at WYC without food, so everyone enjoyed a McDonald’s while they worked. One of our presenters is currently away on holiday but was so dedicated that she joined the meeting on Zoom!

Judging by the laughter and jokes during this first session, this year’s AGM is going to be informative, honest and very entertaining. We cannot wait to see what our Young Carers produce.
