Volunteering

Join Our Team of Volunteers at Warwickshire Young Carers

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Warwickshire Young Carers, playing a crucial role in supporting young carers and their families. From facilitating groups and activities after-school, during school holidays or an occasional weekend session, to assisting with family support events, or raising the profile of Warwickshire Young Carers in the local community, and office adminisistration, which is the backbone of the organisation.  Our volunteers make a significant contribution to the charity’s day-to-day functions of the charity which enables the staff team to reach more young carers each year.

We deeply value and appreciate the contributions of all our volunteers. We are committed to supporting you through comprehensive training, continuous supervision, and full inclusion in meetings and other activities (if you wish to participate). Your involvement is essential in helping us deliver our mission of improving the lives of young carers.

At Warwickshire Young Carers, we embrace diversity and are committed to equality. We recognise that some individuals and groups face or perceive discrimination. Therefore, we apply the principles of equality and diversity to all our staff and volunteers, as outlined in our Equal Opportunities Policy.

We understand that your time, skills, and knowledge are valuable, and we ensure that all volunteers are reimbursed for any out-of-pocket expenses, such as travel. Warwickshire Young Carers is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Please note that voluntary positions will require an enhanced DBS disclosure.
