Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of Warwickshire Young Carers. Currently the organisation benefits from volunteers who transport young carers to groups and activities, Trustee board members, organising fundraising and helping with groups and activities in evenings, weekends and during school holidays.

Warwickshire Young Carers values the contribution all its volunteers make to the charity. We are committed to our volunteers, this includes providing training, support and ongoing supervision. Full inclusion in meetings and other activities (if the volunteer wishes to participate).

Warwickshire Young Carers recognises that certain individuals and groups suffer discrimination or perceive that they suffer discrimination. Therefore, we apply the principles of equality and diversity to all staff and volunteers as defined in our Equal Opportunities Policy.

Volunteers donate their time, skills and knowledge free of charge but all volunteers can expect to be reimbursed for all out-of-pocket expenses e.g. travel.

Warwickshire Young Carers is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Please note that voluntary positions may be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and that CV’S will not be accepted.
